No Live Commentary Tonight

Chelsea 1 - 1 Valencia
Man. U. 1 - 2 Roma

This kind of sucks...I have to catch the matches on the wires tonight as "Nouvelle Star" takes precident over Champions League in France! Ugh. Anyhow I see that JoMo is going with John Obi Mikel in the holding midfield role instead of Makalele. I'm not too sure that is a wise move. He's the gaffer though. Joe Cole is on the substitute bench as well. That is good news for Chelsea.
Highlights:

  • I read we have a YouTube goal from David Silva! I will post it as soon as it's up.
  • Naughty, naughty...Paul Scholes first dibs on the showers for two bookable offences.
  • Taddei goal for Roma
  • Seems there quite the punch up in Rome just at half-time. FIFA will be involved tomorrow.
  • Didier Drogba chips the keeper for a goal
  • Wazza breaks his goalless streak...now he's going to bag a bunch in the next few weeks, just watch.
  • Vucinic grabs a goal

Good Results for both teams... but Man U and Chelsea are capable of winning the 2nd leg. It is very funny, when were paired with Barcelona, I thought we were out.. now we are sitting pretty for the next round.... YNWA.

Oh yeah, not to many worries for us. Manchester are going to miss Scholes next week though. He's been on a mission the past few weeks.

Valencia look a decent team, but they couldnt handle Chelsea physical strenght, but i have to say, those boys are skillful and can play ball.

I saw both matches... First I have to say all 3 English teams are going to the next round. Cheskoff was unlucky to come off with a draw at home and I think Valencia will try to play for the draw at home but Cheskoff will attack in waves.

Now to the important match of the day.. Wazza's goal was out of this world. It was a strikers goal. McStupid should be eating his heart out and wondering how the hell he will ever get Wazza to perform like that for England. We were unlucky as Scholesy was sent off rightfully so but I believe the referee was very very partial. A lot of calls were against us and he could have easily booked a few of the Roma players but he looked the other way while he had no problems booking the ManU players. Even the 50/50 fouls were mostly against us. But to no problem we are sitting pretty. Saha will get a run out this weekend and hopefully will be fit for next week. Roma took the foot off the pedal after we went a man down and allowed ManU to still play their match. They tried so hard to take out Ronaldo but they couldn't even catch him.. it was so funny to watch.
