UEFA have been alerted to irregular betting patterns on last month’s match, which the Reds won 8-0.
There is no suggestion that Rafa Benitez’s team were involved in any fix — but an unusually high humber of bets were placed on Besiktas suffering a heavy defeat in the Anfield clash.
Maybe they paid Yossi Benayoun to score some goals that day?
